Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson is an American actress who gained fame for playing Buffy Summers in the cult film Buffy the Vampire SlayerRebecca Becky Granger in the telefilm Nightingales and also the very short-lived NBC show of the same nameErica Paget in CBS Drama Early Edition and Marlowe Viccellio in Psych. The native of California, Swinson was acting from a young age. She was a part of the advertising world, appearing in a variety of commercials. In 1984, she made her debut on the screen with an episode of the sitcom by NBC, It's Your Turn. The following year she appeared in the romance comedy Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. She is best known for her blonde hair and the breathless voice she uses. Recently, Swan has moved to acting in secondary roles. She won the Young Artist Award in 1989 for the Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Pictures in the film Flowers in the Attic.
