The date of her birth is March 29, 1985, in Roswell in New Mexico. Her given title is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson's parents were Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. Her heritage is Mexican-American as well as an American through the nationality. Since her early years her drive to become active in sports was strong. Gerina began playing golf after she was 15 years old. Gerina finished her high school studies in Goddard High School. At the age of 16, she was a winner in New Mexico's state golf tournament. Along with the sport of volleyball, she played on an official level. Her first college was the University of Texas. In her senior year, she won every tournament she played in. In her undergraduate years she was awarded the title that included Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Year.
